Drop - an emotional and physical response to the endorphin and dopamine levels returning to normal after a scene.

Known as "Sub Drop" or "Top\Dom Drop", this can be a state of shock that happens after a kink scene. Typically, the more intense the scene, the more intense the drop can be. However, with proper aftercare, check-ins, and emotional support, drop can be avoided.

A non-kink version of drop often comes post-vacation or events when the joy of the even has ended and you've returned to your regular life. Usually there's a period of mild depression that can occur after this period of bliss. The same can be said for BDSM and it's why aftercare and check-ins are so important. Drop can be fairly immediate if aftercare is neglected, but it can also occur 14-72 hours later when the dopamine leaves the person's system.
